We are thrilled to announce two major screenings for October!
First, the film will be screening at the prestigious Iris Prize Festival in Cardiff, Wales on Friday, October 13th 8:30pm at Cineworld Cardiff. Not only will writer/director/actor Christopher Schaap be attending the festival to introduce the film, but he will also be on the international jury to select the winner of the coveted Iris Prize! Then, Prom King, 2010 will finally have it's New York premiere at Newfest New York LGBT Film Festival -- finally screening in the city it was created. The film is playing Sunday, October 22nd 9:30pm at Cinepolis Chelsea. Christopher Schaap, Isabella Jackson, and many others from the film will be in attendance. Tickets can be purchased here.

We have two exciting screenings coming up this month at two renowned LGBT festivals!
On Saturday, September 9th at 10:30am, Prom King, 2010 is screening at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar for aGLIFF -- Austin's Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival. Tickets can be found here.
Then, on Saturday, September 23rd at 4:45pm, the film is screening at Landmark's Century Centre Cinema in Chicago for Reeling, the Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival. Tickets can be found here.
Christopher Schaap will be in attendance for Q&A's after each screening.

It's been a busy and rewarding summer for Prom King, 2010, with packed screenings at the Castro at Frameline Film Festival, REDCAT at Outfest Los Angeles LGBT Film Festival, and RISD Museum at Rhode Island International Film Festival.
Additionally, we are proud to announce that the film was awarded the GRAND PRIZE for the Alternative Spirit Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Follow this link to check out the other, incredible winners!

PROM KING, 2010 is an official selection for the 2017 MiFo LGBT Film Festival in Miami. The film will be screening on Tuesday, April 25th at 9:15pm at Regal Cinemas South Beach. Tickets are available online at mifofilm.com starting on March 24th.

PROM KING, 2010 will have its world premiere at the CINEQUEST FILM & VR FESTIVAL in Redwood City and San Jose, CA! The film was one of 25 selected to compete in the "New Visions" category. After the premiere, the film will play on four additional occasions throughout the festival.

We're just days from a complete wrap on PROM KING, 2010! After 9 months -- shooting, editing, color correcting, sound mixing, and scoring are all complete. It's been exactly one year since our Kickstarter campaign ended, so we thought we'd celebrate by unveiling our official one-sheet poster (design by Cameron Christopher Dunn) AND our official trailer, which you can watch here! We also have other EXTREMELY exciting news that we can't share quite yet. Keep checking back in the next few months for the big reveal!

Principal photography of Prom King, 2010 is complete after a twenty-day shoot. Seen below is the skeleton crew: Giovannie Silva (Assistant Camera), Aharon Rothschild (Director of Photography), Aitor Mendilibar (Director of Photography), Christopher Schaap (Director), Mike Hurst (Sound Mixer), and Isabella Jackson (Producer) -- joined by Frans Dam ("Ford"), who we shot our last scene with.
